Exercises for baby’s first contact with the water, stretching and strengthening of baby’s entire body.
- Mandatory: for babies swimming diapers and for parents swimsuits.
The exercises are intended for babies between 5 and 14 months of age and are carried out alongside baby’s parents. They include movement and swimming exercises to strengthen the upper body and, due to constant kicking and pushing, also leg muscles, which contributes to a faster and better developed motor-skills system and consequently walking and correct posture development. Since babies get a lot of stretching and exercise, this reflects also in positive effects on their cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
The exercises take place in Adventure World, in a 1.35-metre-deep pool with a water temperature of 30 °C. They are organised for a group of up to 12 babies along with their parents (up to 2 adults per baby may take part in the programme).
Baby exercises are carried out in two groups – the beginner and the advanced group.
Beginner Baby Exercises in the Water
These exercises are intended for babies between 5 and 12 months of age. They start with exercises of adapting to the water and playing in the water, gradually followed by more movement and swimming exercises, whereas the last session is intended for exercises with swimming bands. A special feature of these exercises is the underwater immersion, where you immerse your baby in the water in the correct way, which helps prolong baby’s conditioned reflex, so they close all airways when they come into contact with the water and are later on better adapted to the water and do not fear it.
Advanced Baby Exercises in the Water
These advanced exercises are intended for babies up to 14 months of age who have already completed the beginner exercises. They focus mainly on the movement and swimming exercises with lots of repetitions, all with the aim of a particular movement becoming part of baby’s memorised motor skills, which results in easier learning of swimming later on.
